Sigma Charitable Trust is a UK registered charity formed by Sigma Pharmaceuticals plc to involve its customers, supplies , staff and friends in helping various charities – mainly education, medical and religious both local and international. The trust has been actively involved in these charities but this year has chosen to look at charities involved with “care” and “elderly”. Being a Watford based charity they are keen to encourage the people of Watford to help charities in Watford. The trust is delighted to have the support of Claire Ward, MP for Watford, Watford Council, The Peace Hospice, Watford Mencap and the New Hope Trust to put this walk on together. They hope that people of all ages and charities in Watford get together for this event in order to raise a large sum of money for the benefit of the local communities.

The Mothercare Charitable Foundation aims to help parents in the UK and worldwide meet their needs and aspirations for their children and to give their children the very best chance of good health, education, well-being and a secure start in life.
Specifically, the Foundation welcomes applications from registered charities and research organisations associated with the following criteria:
• ensuring the good health and well-being of mums-to-be, new mums and their children;
• special baby-care needs and premature births;
• other parenting initiatives relating to family well-being.
